“We ought to relentlessly ignore excuses, especially those we are told by ourselves.” Mokokoma Mokhonoana

Regardless of how much positive self-talk you engage in, some problems will never go away until you get to the root. There is a reason why you may be struggling in your relationship or marriage. There is a reason for your financial issues. There is a reason why some people don’t seem to like you.

The trouble is never the fruit. It’s always the root. Sometimes the problem is we ourselves. Unfortunately, however, most people don’t have the courage to look themselves in the mirror and face the biggest root of their own problems which is themselves. It’s easier to blame people and attach blame to past experiences but at the end of the day, you and I will have to admit to ourselves the real reason why we have the problems that we have.

Remember that external problems don’t last long and they are easy to deal with. The problems that have the potential to stay with you for a whole lifetime are those that you are especially not ready to admit, late alone deal with at the root because you are part of the problem. My encouragement today is this: Have Frank talk with yourself. Ask yourself some tough questions and make some real adjustments to your life without excusing yourself.
