Self-restraint/control is a result of having a strong sense of vision for one’s own future. People who get wasted -going out every weekend as a lifestyle (thinking happiness is at the club, in sex or in alcohol) do it mostly because their idea of what tomorrow holds is oblique. If you knew what your future holds, you would behave in a way that is becoming.
If you knew the future that awaits you, you would not sleep around. If you knew your destiny, you would not be so careless about how you live.
When you carry a vision with the care that a pregnant woman has for her yet to be born baby, then fulfillment of that vision is sure. When you have a clear picture of both your earthly future and your eternal future after death, you will not live anyhow, neither will you waste your life on substance or sex addictions. So are you clear about your future?
