“None can destroy iron, but it’s own rust can.” Ratan Tata.

The concept of environmental design is about deliberately putting all the things that will get you to become more successful in close proximity and putting out of your immediate environment all those things that take you further and further away from Success.

I want to use iron as an example. Iron is a very strong element. It’s so strong such that nothing can destroy it except for one thing and that is iron rust. Iron rust happens when you expose the iron to water or air moisture. So just like iron, you must bear in mind that what has the potential to destroy your future and your life is what you expose yourself to. It’s who you hang around with. It’s the alcohol. It’s the drugs. It’s the sexual activity and it’s the bad company. While all these things have the potential to destroy you, there is one thing that can develop you: Iron sharpens iron!

So if you expose yourself to things, people and places that sharpen you, just like iron you will be sharpened or developed.

Design your environment for personal development and not for personal destruction and determine in advance to be found in geographical spaces that are constructive.

Have interactions that are life building and make the effort to do iron sharpening stuff such as more book reading and less television series and movies.

Spend (invest) time. Do not kill (pass) time by just sitting around. Invest in your mind and deliberately expose yourself to meaningful things. Design your environment for total and quality Success.
