Does your bank account agree that you have been working hard?
So you work very hard! That’s good! But does your financial situation at the moment agree with you? Friends, a time must come when you must attract the kind of monetary value that is in tune with the kind of value you create through hard work. As we come to the close of the year, what truth is your bank account saying about you? (Remember that numbers dont lie.) Has your hard work resulted in financial increase?
May I suggest to you at this point that your definition of hard work must be clear: Hard work is not just about exerting effort to the point of exhaustion. Hard work is about being effective. Monetary value increases around someone who is effective at adding the most value and not necessarily someone who gets tired the most. In other words, your hard work must create value and value creation is a result of effectiveness.
Friends, the organisation you work for must make more money and make progress because your work there makes a great difference. You must be an asset at your workplace. Being an asset to an institution is exactly how you increase your monetary value. If you are an asset and you are not compensated well, then you are in an institution that is robbing you. So I ask again. Does your bank account agree that you have been working hard?
