REFUSE TO BE A VICTIM OF PARALYSIS BY ANALYSIS

Paralysis by analysis is a statement that describes the process of over-analysing or over-thinking a situation to the extent that progress in terms of action or decision making becomes paralyzed and no solution or course of action is taken. People suffer Paralysis by analysis for many reasons which may include fear of making wrong decisions, lack of focus, being overwhelmed by the situation at hand and at times it may be choice overload i.e. too many options.
“Thinking too much leads to paralysis by analysis. It’s important to think things through, but many use thinking as a means of avoiding action.”
― Robert Herjavec
Realise that paralysis by analysis will always cost you especially when it comes to time sensitive opportunities and important life changing choices. Many have lost good contracts, jobs, projects and great business deals because of paralysis by analysis. Many have been left out and side-lined while they were trying to perfect themselves for an opportunity even after good preparation.
May I suggest the following: In all that you do, keep things simple and harness the power of basics in the midst of complexities. Be straight forward and avoid theories and stories that lack relevance in terms of your situation. Maintain a principled approach to things and do not fear to make decisions — Be highly decisive. Be action oriented in all you do and always be ready to fearlessly take up any challenge.
