The challenge today is not Resource mobilization. Its Resource utilization.
Inability to utilize resources effectively is one key reason for a lack of personal and organisational productivity.
Did you know that the more options, resources, and tools we have at our disposal, the less productive we become? You will actually be shocked to learn that Productivity improves when necessity to get something done, happens in the midst of scarcity, which induces ingenuity and inspiration in order to accomplish that goal.
This generation has more resources available to it yet the level of productivity, innovation and creativity leave much to be desired. I honestly think that we could do more.
Today we have the internet. We have social media platforms. We can do business and earn money both online and offline. We have access to all sorts of technologies and yet we fail to utilize these resources to the fullest extent. Am actually afraid that everything that is at our disposal, has aided in breeding a complacent and entitled generation. So I write this to both encourage and caution that a lot of individuals today may not actualize their potentials. Access has made us feel as if we have Success.
The challenge today is not resource mobilization. The challenge today is resource utilization. It’s the inability to use what we have in terms of our minds, our time, our skills, our connections, our technology/smart phones/apps, our access and all our information. With many resources available to you, you must challenge yourself to fully utilize all of them and in turn, your life will be very productive.
