THE NEXT PHILOSOPHY

“The next philosophy is about moving on from what has just passed and looking forward to what is next.”

Most people lack the ability to move fluently from one Success or failure to another. We take too long to move on because we have a natural tendency to fixate on one win or one loss for a long time at the expense of progress.

To succeed in life, one must have what I call the NEXT philosophy. The next philosophy is about moving on from what has just passed and looking forward to what is next. It’s also about recovering quickly from the impacts of the negative things and failures that we go through in life. It’s learning not to prolong the celebration of victories at the expense of progress because prolonged celebrations do attract a lot of counter progress. So think of failures and Successes in terms of mountains. Between each mountain are valleys of preparation for next not relaxation. So if you win, celebrate but not at the expense of preparation for next.

If you fail or make mistakes, do not wallow in emotional negativity, guilt and self-condemnation. If you suffer loss, pick yourself up and focus on preparation for next. Your body, mind and emotions may have residual elements of the past event or activity but you must be audacious to move on to the next activity or project.
