UNSPOKEN AND UNWRITTEN RULES
“Wisdom in productivity is to know which unwritten and unspoken rules you must follow and which ones you must not follow.”
Unspoken and unwritten rules do exist, and they are always implicit. Society structures such as families, friendships, workplaces, schools and churches do have their own unique unwritten and unspoken code.
The following is what I have learnt about these unspoken and unwritten rules:
Firstly, when you are in a new environment, job or organization, exercise wisdom and ask many questions. In that way, you will learn more about the unspoken and unwritten code. Secondly, unless it’s your organization, never take anything personally. Taking things personally has caused many to be unnecessarily frustrated and depressed.
Thirdly, realize that the root reason why people fall out of favor in relationships and why they lose business opportunities and end up being disliked can all be linked to unwritten and unspoken rules.
I want you to know that not all unwritten and unspoken rules are useful and constructive. Some of them can be dysfunctional. While some of them can be powerfully effective in navigating you through your environment or workplace and can help you succeed, some unwritten rules need to be avoided at all costs.
Wisdom in productivity is to know which unwritten and unspoken rules you must follow and which ones you must not follow.
